Come to this panel session at Care Managers Show Vol. 2 for practical HR and people management tips to help you with recruitment, retention, wellbeing and more.

In HR and people management, a panel of experts will explore key HR challenges and solutions, including development of future leaders and digitisation of processes. There will also be discussion of how we can do more than just pay lip-service to equality, diversity and inclusion.

During the session, you will get expert advice for handling disciplinary procedures, as well as practical tips for setting and promoting a positive workplace culture. You’ll also have the opportunity to get answers to your most pressing HR questions.

Who will you hear from?

Dudley Sawyerr, the moderator of this panel, is a care consultant and business strategist at People Care Services with over 15 years’ experience in the health care sector. He is Chair of the LCaS Registered Managers Groups across 14 London Boroughs, Co-Chair of the Race Equality Reference Group at Skills for Care, and part of Care Vision care management software which is on the NHSx assured supplier list

Kirstie Jones heads up people strategy at Salutem Shared Services. She has 25 years’ HR experience, specialising in employment law. Her role includes smoothly bringing in new setting acquisitions and boosting team morale through engagement and wellbeing programmes.

Sonia Rai is the founder and director of Nectar HR, with more than 20 years’ HR experience. Many of Nectar HR’s clients operate in the health and social care sector and the team are CQC experts, regularly supporting clients in preparations and inspections. Sonia is also experienced in strategic and operational HR.

As people director for National Care Group, Claire Leake’s recruitment strategy has delivered improvements, with more than 1,100 new staff joining the company last year. This year she has developed an international recruitment programme offering sponsorship opportunities for support workers. Under her leadership, the company has a culture of wellbeing supporting more than 2,700 staff working in over 250 settings.
