Zoë has spent three decades working in adult social care, starting as a care worker before climbing the management ladder. After a long career in a variety of domiciliary and residential roles, in 2018 she became an inspector of adult social care for the Care Quality Commission. After leaving the Care Quality Commission, Zoe worked independently consulting, conducting mock inspections and service turnarounds with all sizes of clients from new starters, to local authorities. Zoë joined Croner-i as a writer and advisor in 2023 and specialises in regulatory compliance and the practicalities of providing excellent care.
