Patricia began her career in 2007 as a healthcare assistant in a large mental health hospital, supporting individuals with mental health conditions and intellectual disabilities. Her hands-on experience in direct care laid the foundation for a deep understanding of the challenges and demands faced by frontline staff.

After holding a range of roles across the healthcare sector, Patricia moved into Learning & Development in 2019, delivering staff training that combined her clinical insight with a passion for person-centred care. She has a particular interest in helping teams reflect on practice, build confidence and challenge the mindset of “this is the way we’ve always done it.”

In 2023, Patricia joined CPI, where the values of Care, Welfare, Safety and Security align closely with her own. At the Care Management Show, Patricia will lead a session on Dealing with Difficult Conversations, drawing on her experience in training, behaviour support and staff development to offer practical, trauma-informed strategies for navigating challenging interactions with empathy and confidence.
