Jacqui McBurnie

Chair of the NHS England Menopause Network, NHS England

Jacqui works regionally in NHS England in urgent and emergency care. She established and chairs the NHSE Menopause Network to champion menopause awareness and support in the workplace. Jacqui has been able to secure the first NHSE menopause policy, access by self-referral to Peppy Health nurse specialists and the reporting of menopause-related sickness in electronic staff records. Jacqui presses for change in culture and recognition of the effects of menopause and as an executive committee member of the cross-government Menopause Network she links with civil servants to ensure there is shared learning on this agenda. Jacqui has made contributions to recent Health and Social Care Select Committee publications, the Womens Health Strategy for England, and has published several articles calling for recognition and support for anyone struggling with menopause in the workplace.
