A group of worldwide experts are soon to publish the first international standard for older people living in residential care or who are cared for at home. The standard will be called ISO25557, Care Quality for Older People at Home and in Care Facilities and will be published later in 2025. Kevin Groombridge, who chairs the team developing the standard, will explain how the standard has been developed, how it will be used, and how care homes, supported living services and domiciliary care providers can become accredited to an international standard for the first time.
